Failure to get a connection to the GPS receiver
There are several reasons for not getting a connection to the GPS receiver.
None of them is a software problem.
- Use the correct com port. For some reason com port numbers may differ in other GPS
programs. I don't know why. Be patient and try other com ports starting with the ones
adjacent to the one you thought it would be.
- Make sure that no other GPS program is running before you use odgps. Odgps doesn't support
access from multiple programs to the GPS com port. Do this by opening system/settings/memory/running programs.
If you see another GPS program in the list, shut it down at this point.
